Villa in Porto Heli
Porto Heli, Greece
This villa makes reference to the tradition of the Greco-Roman country villa. Upon entry a peristyle, with the cisterns below, describes a courtyard adjacent to which the villa and guesthouse are sited. The peristyle serves as a protective roof and framing device, lending as it does its regulating presence to all activities within it or beside it. Exedras, pavilions, terraces, pergolas form its numerous outdoor spaces used at different times of the day for relaxation and entertaining.
