This anthology of architectural history and criticism provides a framework of contemporary debates in architecture. It looks at the work of seminal art and architectural historians (from Hegel, Semper, Riegl, Panofsky or Gombrich to Benjamin, Giedion, Banham, Kostof or Tafuri) with the view to come closer to the way they have understoon concepts of form, style or social life.
